14th Clyde Scout Group - Beavers & Cubs

This group began during 2016. It is the first ever group of Beavers (5to8) to exist in the Newmains area and now has 30 children who regularly attend to build measurable and life skills. It is open to both boys and girls and is not biased to any religion or none. The children include all socioeconomic groups, abilities and special needs.

We are a small cog in the big machine that is the Scout family. We need to be self-funding and autonomous to help youngsters within Newmains and District to reach their full potential and become adults able to sustain our community for future generations.

The big guns say: "Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world."

We say kids having fun, learn. And learn to have fun in different ways.
